Family Camp, PW Olympic Games & the ER

This weekend was eventful to say the least. We had our annual ward campout at Chawanakee Family Camp and enjoyed our Friday evening/night. Saturday we woke up and enjoyed omlettes, pancakes and sausage. Then we started the Peachwood Ward Olympic games.

For the first while it was individual games then came the group games. For the first one we had to figure out a way to get our team members over a rope at 5 feet high. It became my turn and the rest of the story comes from the mouth of my husband cuz I can't remember any of it. So it was my turn, I went and my foot touched the rope so I had to do it over again, so I guess I decided I'd jump over without anyone's help this time. Why? I don't know. According to Trent I landed on my left hip and head. My eyes rolled back and I was out for about 5 seconds. After they checked my hip, neck and head they went ahead and had me sit up with support. (Thank goodness our bishop and another member of our ward are nurses). Trent says about 10 minutes later I asked him where we were. It was then that Trent called Bishop over and told him. After a quick observation he told Trent he better take me in.

So while Trent packed people sat with me (again according to Trent). I do remember Robbie Pauline (the other nurse) asking me to remember 3 things and then he'd come back and ask me what they were. When he did I was only able to remember 1. I remember trying to figure my relationship with Trent. I was determined we were boyfriend and girlfriend then I thought no, we're engaged. Then decided that we were married. I guess I was out of it for about an hour to an hour and a half.

So we got to the ER and did a CAT Scan and Trent was proud to announce I do have a brain! Yes! But other serious injury occured, which is good. Needless to say, Saturday I hurt like no other, slept a whole of 3.5 hours. But I am getting better. I've got a nasty bruise on my hip to show and two big knots and bruises on the tops of my ankles. Still have a headache from Sat, but will feel a lot better when that's completely gone! Don't moan everytime I move which is good.

Have had lots of help and well wishes. Thanks everyone!

Dad told me about this on Sunday. He told me you were passed out for 5 minutes! 5 seconds sounds better. Hope you are feeling better!

That must have been strange to not be able to remember anything. I am glad that you are okay and it didn't turn out to be too serious. Looking forward to seeing you guys next weekend!
