A Trip To The Hospital

It is true. I had a little trip to the hospital last Thursday. I went to bed the night before thinking I was just uncomfortable and maybe the seam of my pants were hitting that perfect spot and causing pain every so often. Then the next morning I woke with back pain and about 2 hours later started having contractions. Again, I thought it was something else, but the pain kept coming, so I decided to lay down for an hour and drink a bunch of water thinking I was dehydrated and hoping it would work. Doing that only made them come more and worse. So after picking up Haylee from school I called the doctor and they said to got to labor and delivery. Luckily my brother and sister-in-law were home and willing to watch my two little rugrats while I went, so I dropped them off, finally got a hold of Trent and told him what was going on and Nate drove me to the hospital. Trent was in Tulare for work, so I was planning on being by myself for a while.
To make a long story shorter, they sent me home still experiencing contractions and back labor. The contractions getting more intense, not knowing what the doctor wanted from us. Keep the baby in or letting nature take its course. So after about 24 hours of "labor" I called the office again and was told to go back to labor and delivery. No thanks. Finally we got the staff to let us talk to the doctor and I had/have been experiencing preblahblah labor(technical word I can't remember). Basically having labor constractions that don't do anything. So he gave me some pills to help keep me a little comfortable and help stop the frequency of the contractions, but doesn't stop active labor from happening.
All in all, I take those every 6 hours, still have intense active labor contractions, but not as often and am ready to be done with the pain. It also doesn't help to have gotten a cold that has decided to stay in my sinus region (again) so I have sinus headaches. I'm in great shape and who knows the next time I blog, I may be announcing the birth of our beautiful baby....until next time....

I feel your pain! I had two pregnancy's like that. I had to take my little pills every two hours, starting at 17 weks, and 22 weeks with the other baby. LOTS of Fun! So glad they are worth it! Good luck. Try and rest!
